- Conducts Security Sensitive background investigations on prospective employees, contractors, volunteers, and others using open source information and and/or other applicable security and/or law enforcement databases.
- Utilizes the Harris County Justice Information Management System/District Attorney Intake Management System (JIMS/DIMS), and/or communicates with outside law enforcement agencies, to obtain policy summary reports when further investigations are warranted. Conducts administrative and criminal related investigation.
- Determines whether prospective employees, contractors, volunteers and others pose security risks to the University, and communicates the determinations to the appropriate representative.
