SUMMARY: Security Guard must be able to work well with campground personnel, campground members, and outside entities such as fire department and police department. The Security Guard must be able to follow campground policy and procedure set by the By-laws and Rules. Must be comfortable in enforcing campground policy, in a reasonable manner, to the best of their ability and delegate actions to the appropriate authority when necessary.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties may be assigned.
- Patrols monitors and reports any SRCA premise incidents.
- Controls access to facilities (badge access, assisting authorized entry).
- Monitors security systems and cameras and responds quickly to any incidents.
- Provides reports on daily activities and any incidents that occurred.
- Cites violators for the rule infractions.
- Checks answering machine and delivers emergency messages.
- Acts as a liaison to emergency services by knowing who and when to contact emergency services and provide quick access to the site.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- The applicant must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be dependable, strong integrity, and attention to detail.
- Prior Security Guard experience or military background a plus.
- CPR certified preferred or will be provided.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must have a valid driver’s license.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee primarily in outdoor conditions that may be in excessive heat, cold, extreme weather, excessive humidity or dampness/chilling; slippery and uneven walking surfaces.
