Security Guard- Gns102 Mon-Fri 9Am-5Pm

DescriptionPosition Summary: Responsible for protecting WellLife Networks personnel, property, visitors, and assets.

1. Being a visible deterrent to crime.
2. Identifying suspicious behavior.
3. Contacting and communicating with the authorities.
4. Taking action in emergency situations. Self-motivation is a must.
5. Patrolling and monitoring activities on the premises regularly to discourage criminal activity and ensure the environment is safe and secure.
6. Checking all perimeter doors periodically during the shift.
7. Evicting trespassers, violators and emotionally disturbed persons while following legal protocols before relevant authorities arrive to take over.
8. Controlling the entrance of employees, visitors, and vendors.
9. Monitoring surveillance cameras to water out for any disruptions or unlawful activities.
10. Providing detailed reports on daily activities any incidents that may have occurred to management.
11. Assessing burglar/fire alarm system for proper operation.
12. Performing CPR or fire aid when needed.
13. Performing physical plant inspections and notifying admin staff of deficiencies.
14. Completing Environmental checklist for Elmont facility.
15. Performing fire watch when needed.
16. Other tasks as directed by Management.

 

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency diploma or experience in security work. A valid NYS Drivers License is required.
