Along with maintaining the day-to-day security of our systems, you’ll drive making security a first principle in development. You will be a key driver in the design and implementation of security within our company.

Breakdown of the role
With your deep knowledge and understanding of security you’ll work with our technical teams to design and implement features and processes to support securing of our systems.
- Enterprise Security (40%) - Design, implement, and maintain secure systems, networks, and cloud services, including intrusion detection/prevention systems and other security tools. Develop and implement security measures, policies, and procedures to protect systems and networks against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other security incidents.
- Intrusion Protection and Avoidance (40%) - Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk assessments to identify and prioritize potential security risks and vulnerabilities. Conduct security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, industry best practices, and organizational security policies.
- Technical Collaboration (20%) - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that security requirements are incorporated into system and network design, development, and implementation processes.
What we’d love to see
- 3+ years of experience as a Security Engineer
- Relevant professional certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, etc.
- Strong knowledge of security principles, best practices, and industry standards, such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Critical Security Controls.
- Familiarity with security-related regulations, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols, such as TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and routing/switching
- A strong Agile mindset.
