Position Overview
Thrive is looking to hire individuals who demonstrate technical proficiency, have strong verbal and written communication skills and have the desire to learn and be involved in all aspects of IT and Cybersecurity. At Thrive, a Security Deployment Engineer is responsible for deploying Thrive’s Platform Security Services to new and existing clients. This position’s primary objective is to expedite security service activations through efficient task completion with a focus on excellent customer service and Cybersecurity best practices. A Security Deployment Engineer will work with Security Engineers, Project Managers and Thrive clients to accomplish those goals and objectives.
Primary Responsibilities
Deployment of Thrive’s Platform Security Services to new and existing customers related (but not limited to) the following
Endpoint Detection and Response (FortiEDR, SentinelOne)
SIEM (FortiSIEM)
Cybersecurity Training (Symbol Security, KnowBe4)
Vulnerability Scanning (Qualys)
Assist in development of Security Deployment process, configuration standards and customer deliverables
Ability to handle diverse computing and network environments in a wide cross section of business clients
Work through the project process to drive deployments to a successful outcome.
Present security service deployment plan at technical kick off to inform the client of dependencies, requirements, potential conflicts, etc.
Work at direction of Deployment and Project Managers to complete security engineering tasks in adherence to a formal deployment process.
Assist in completion of Support Handoff requirements to allow for long term maintenance by Thrive Service Desk and SOC.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree, Technical Degree or equivalent work experience
2-4+ years workstation, network, and/or server support experience
Experience with monitoring and remote management tools
Experience with EDR, SIEM and Vulnerability Management/Scanning technologies
Self-motivated with ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Excellent customer service and communication skills
