Job Description:

This leadership position is responsible throughout the project lifecycle, from pre-sales to consulting delivery, working closely with the Project Manager, Sales, Technical Support and Product Engineering to ensure Client satisfaction. The Security Architect will have technical and business process knowledge necessary to guide global or multi-regional Clients through the analysis, design, implementation and integration of one or more products. Assignments can be broad in nature and the Security Architect may serve as a resource to others to resolve complex problems and issues.

In addition, the Security Architect will be responsible for the maintenance and improvement of project methodologies, document templates and internal delivery processes to align with current and future product capabilities. Within consulting, the Security Architect will be responsible for ongoing mentoring and must be an available resource for peer support.

The Security Architect should have experience and confidence working in both business and technical domains and able to link the two with technology and processes to solve complex business problems.

Finally, the Technical Architect is expected to maintain ongoing awareness of new product functionality and is responsible for disseminating that information across the consulting team. Further, the Security Architect is expected to perform as a Thought Leader for new and improved methods of product implementation and strategy to ensure that Clients always get the best approach to product implementation. Finally, the Security Architect is expected to be a peer resource for product knowledge as well as general technical, business, regulatory and other areas.

Key Responsibilities
• Act as a Thought Leader and Trusted Advisor to both Clients and Company
• Provide Leadership to Client, Consulting Team and Sales
• Work with Company and Client senior management to identify long-term objectives and strategies
• Lead the Assessment of Technical Objectives and Constraints, Business Objectives, Regulatory Requirements and Budget to effectively implement product solutions that adhere to Services Best Practices
• Develop the Software Architecture, Implementation Strategy and Business Processes
• Lead the Deployment, Configuration and Integration of Software in both Pilot and Production capacity
• Assists Clients with the execution of pilot and production validation against success criteria / test plan
• Assist Clients with the design and creation of Security Policies (both detection and prevention)
• Assist with the alignment of Policies against Internal Controls, Regulatory Requirements and Best Practices
• Assist Clients with building Deployment Packages (as needed)
• Assist Clients with the creation and implementation of Business Processes
• Assist Clients with Test, Implementation and BCP/DRP Planning
• Develop and Deliver Detailed Documentation
• Troubleshoot Technical and Business Process issues, including root-cause analysis
• Interact with Technical Support and Product Engineering to Open, Track and Resolve Product issues
• Work closely with Product Management and Product Engineering to guide and learn new feature/functions
• Lead ongoing maintenance and improvement of methodologies and document templates
• Pursue, Achieve, and Maintain technical education and certifications
• Meet target billable utilization objective as assigned for this role.
• Adhere to all company policies, including Time and Expense Policy, Code of Conduct/Ethics and Training

Job-Specific Authority and Scope
• Manager is consulted for non-project decisions
• Works closely with the Project Manager to make non-technical project decisions
• Independent project-based decisions are made daily
• Has no direct reports
• Has no total staff
• Does not manage a budget
• Has a geographic focus of Area (multi-country or multi-state) with cross-geo opportunity as needed to meet Client and project demands

Logistics and Physical Demands
Business travel of approximately 50 percent or more yearly is expected for this position but must be able to successfully function with 100 percent remote work as needed to meet company and Client requirements.

Education, Training & Certifications
• Bachelors and 12+ years of related experience; at this level a post-graduate degree is typically expected
or
• Masters degree and 10+ years of related experience
or
• PhD and 7+ years of related experience
• Experience with Symantec Data Security, Endpoint Security, or Network Security technologies - required
• Certifications for hardware, operating system or specific technologies are required, including those from the following organizations:
  • (ISC)2: CISSP
  • ISACA: CISA / CISM
  • GIAC: GSEC / GCED / GCCC / GDAT
  • Cloud: Amazon, Microsoft, Google


Work Experience
Typically, ten (10) or more years of IT-related work experience is required for this position, with five (5) or more years implementing security and compliance tools. Must have several years' experience across Systems Engineering (Windows and UNIX), Databases (MS SQL Server, Oracle DB) and Operations, exposure to a variety of organizational sizes, and detailed knowledge of the roles and objectives of IT Audit, Compliance and Security.

Skills and Competencies
• Demonstrate ability to engage in hands-on implementation of software technology
• Expert at Written, Verbal and Presentation Skills across all organizational levels (local language / English)
• Expertise at technology troubleshooting
• Knowledge of global Regulatory Requirements (e.g. HIPAA, PCI and GDPR)
• Knowledge of common implementation standards (e.g. CIS Benchmarks, ISO 27000 series, CobIT and ITIL)
• Knowledge of common Information Security topics, including GRC, IAM, Incident Management, BCP/DRP, cryptography, Privacy, etc.
• Knowledge of Security for common components such as Communications, Networking, Systems, Data, etc.
• Knowledge of on-premise and cloud computing paradigms

Additional Job Description:
Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $111,000.00 - $210,000.00.

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
