Job Summary

Inspecting, Install, program, maintain, and repair Security and Fire Alarm wiring and equipment. Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes. Participates in the installation, programming, start-up, and commissioning of Fire Alarm equipment that has been newly installed. Systems include fire safety, mass notification, detectors, and field peripherals. You will communicate design details to customers, installation and service teams, and subcontractors. You will also interface with other trades to successfully complete projects while exceeding customers’ expectations. Applicants must have at least 5-10 years’ experience in Fire Alarm, electrical construction, and 06 low voltage electrical journeyman. Specifically, we are looking to fill positions based out of our Spokane, WA location. Relocation and/or travel assistance are negotiable for qualified applicants.


Primary Job Duties

  • Demonstrated technical skills to work independently on all job types from beginning to end.
  • Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair various life safety and security systems with professionalism, confidentiality, and a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with project managers and other technicians to ensure timely completion of projects within budget constraints.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations, including OSHA safety standards.
  • Maintain company vehicle, uniform, and tools.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Able to lead a Fire Alarm installation and direct others to their respective roles.
  • Work with management to identify areas of improvement and implement those changes.
  • Must self-dispatch to sites, ensuring timely arrival to customer’s homes and businesses.
  • Travels as required to perform the service needs of the customer.
  • Participates in the on-call schedule.
  • Operational Testing, Verification, and Acceptance: Run routine reports to review system operation.
  • Complete and submit routine written reports. Provide plans and Fire safety system documents to engineering for as-built drawings. Identify code and non-conformance issues and make recommendations for system installation.
  • Professional attire and appearance.


Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma - or the equivalent (for example, GED)
  • NICET II - Fire Alarms or higher certification (REQUIRED)
  • Valid State Driver's License
  • U.S. citizenship due to the level of access to sensitive information and/or restricted facilities
  • Valid Electrical 06 license or out of state equivalent
