Cultivation Section Grower

Summary

The Section Grower reports directly to the Cultivation Manager and is responsible for all tasks in their assigned areas within the Cultivation Facility. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities

  • Completing cultivation operation procedures by deadlines to maintain harvest schedule.
  • applying organic pesticides with guidance from Cultivation Manager.
  • Maintaining inventory of all cultivation supplies and order such supplies.
  • Coordinating with Cultivation Manager regarding harvest schedules based on dispensary sales trends, and supply needs;
  • Programming and monitoring Environmental Control System.
  • Maintaining a database of environmental controls and conditions;
  • Adjusting Environmental / Irrigation Control System for optimum efficiency of operation; and
  • Scouting for pests and providing pesticide recommendations and ensure Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Program is sufficient.
  • Implementing policies and procedures for the Cultivation facility
  • Reviewing Electronic Communications for current information and updates.
  • Executing and enforcing compliance of all local and state regulations.
  • Maintaining accurate database information (Metrc & Adilas) for assigned areas.
  • Maintaining accountability of all procedures’ execution within assigned areas.
  • Assisting with / coordinating pre-flower prune for allocated plants.
  • Plan and request monthly allocation of hourly labor.
  • Assisting with shared tasks as necessary (e.g. Stock Tanks, EOD green waste, etc.)
  • Upholding all company policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring that all maintenance is current, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and technology

Training & Development

  • Completing training as assigned.
  • Attending monthly team meetings.
  • Attending quarterly team meetings.

Driving Business/Sales

  • Ensuring that cultivation is producing sufficient flowers to meet the needs of MIPs and extractions.
  • Producing quality product free of pests and contaminants.

  • Being a company brand ambassador and training team members to represent the brand appropriately.

Controlling & Preventing Loss

  • Having all team members train with Director of Security for prevention of diversion of cash and/or product.
  • Conducting random audits of cash and/or product, for each department, using audit checklist.
  • Ensuring that all departments are conducting self-compliance audit monthly.
  • Reviewing security procedures and protocols with management team, for each department.
  • Reviewing incident reporting with management team.
  • Overseeing monthly product inventory for each department.
  • Reviewing Loss Prevention (LP) procedures with managers on a quarterly basis.

Qualifications and Education

  • Must be 21 years old.
  • 1-3 years in a commercial cannabis cultivation role
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Experience in retail, hospitality, or patient services, preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Physical and Environmental Requirements

  • Ability to work a minimum of 10 hours a day and rotating shifts;
  • Flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends and holidays;
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds;
  • Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repetitively throughout a work day;
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time;
  • Ability to use a ladder (up to 12 ft. extension) and general hardware tools needed for common repairs;
  • Ability and willingness to work in the following conditions:

o General office environment;

o Extended computer usage;

o Extended phone usage including teleconferences, and

o Work environments that include exposure to, but not limited to, fumes, dust, odors, heights, indoor AC, no AC, motion, and noise.
