The Fargo VAHCS is a level two facility in Fargo, North Dakota. The employee is the secretary for the Associate Director of Operations and Resources (ADOR) at the Fargo VA Health Care System (HCS) and is the main point of contact/ resource for all operations and resources requirements.Qualifications: TYPING PROFICIENCY: This position requires the skills of a qualified typist. In addition to meeting the experience and/or education requirements, you must be able to type at least 40 words per minute.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE-GS-8: One (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-7) in Federal service that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience is Experience processing travel arrangements, including hotel reservations for upcoming trips for staff, experience developing and coordinating training schedules for new and current staff; experience managing and tracking completion of mandatory education requirements for staff, experience mentoring other administrative staff, secretaries, and executive assistants, skilled in the use of office automation equipment and software programs experience developing and providing technical advice in the preparation of various correspondence, letters, and memorandums and accurately and efficiently transcribes various verbal, written, and electronic information.

IMPORTANT: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. All experience listed on your resume must include the month and year start/end dates. Physical Requirements: The work is primarily sedentary. Typically, the employee sits at a desk or table, walking and standing. Items carried usually are light objects such as books and files and lifting moderately heavy objects is not usually required. No special physical qualifications are required to perform the work duties. The work also requires significant time performing keyboarding.
