Job Overview:
The Secretary performs diversified duties to help support the Heart Failure Management Program.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Possess computer skills (Word, Excel, Windows)
Preferred:
- Familiar with medical terminology
- Excellent communication skills
Certifications and Licenses Required:
- N/A
Scheduling Requirements:
- Part Time, 20 hours per week (following a period of orientation and training)
- Day shift
- Holiday rotation
Essential Functions:
- Screen calls to the Heart Failure Clinic
- Schedule patient appointments, as well as follow up appointment with providers as needed
- Check patients in upon arrival for their visit
- Review insurance authorization as needed
- Assist clinic staff in making referrals for patients who require further testing, procedures, or services (such as Cardiac Rehab)
- Manage data related to the clinic
- Responsible for EPIC work queues related to the clinic
