Job Description
SUMMARY:
The Security Shift Supervisor is responsible for managing the Security Department on assigned shifts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safeguards assets of the company
- Supervises plans and schedules Security activities
- Enforces company policies as they pertain to guest and employee conduct on the premises. Documents infractions and advises management where appropriate.
- Responds to all emergencies such as fire, injuries, property damage, etc. Directs and/or assists with evacuations if required. Investigates and completes reports concerning the same.
- Implements security department policies and procedures as directed by the Safety and Security Manager.
- Initiates formal evictions of disorderly persons
- Other duties as assigned by the Safety-Security Manager and required by the Missouri Gaming Commission
ADDITIONAL DUTIES REQUIRED
- Open turns to begin boarding
- Rotation at turns, floor and dispatch
- Escort table fills, jackpots and patrons to their vehicles when needed.
- Let drop team members into and out of the soft count room
- Escort sensitive keys. Handling keybox alarms and/or locating missing leys
- Escort vendors while on property
- Medical incidents
- Slot tips, cage tips, emergency drops and responding to ticket disputes
- Responding to found items, found money, theft complaints, disorderly patron complaints and intoxicated patron
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directs and supervises the Assistant Security Shift Supervisor, EMS First Responder, and Security Officers on a shift basis as referenced in the gaming organization chart.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work demands
- Effectively operate and work with latest standard office technology
- High level of discretion and confidentiality
- Must be able to work from the office and be at a desk for extended period of time
- Must be detail oriented
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 5 years previous experience in a similar position within the gaming or hotel industry
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Missouri Gaming Level II Gaming License required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to effectively communicate in English both verbal and written.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
