The Lake County Weeds Department is currently seeking applications for:
Seasonal Applicator/Operator
The successful applicant for this position will work outdoors daily in all types of weather conditions. This position will assist in mitigating noxious weeds by mixing chemicals to specifications and applying them to assigned locations.
The Lake County Weed Department is responsible for educating the public on noxious weeds. On a daily basis, they are actively mapping and mitigating noxious weeds.
In this position, you can expect to be outside every day in all kinds of weather conditions. You can also expect to get dirty! You will be trained on and assigned specific Personal Protective Equipment to ensure your safety while performing your duties. This job will require you to operate on and off-road vehicles throughout Lake County. You will mix chemicals to specifications and then apply the chemicals using a pesticide applicator. You can be sure that there will be public interaction daily in which excellent customer service is expected.
Qualified applicants must possess a Montana Driver License, must be able to work outdoors in all conditions performing physical labor, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
HOURS/DAYS: 7 a.m. to 5 p.m./M-Thu; This is a seasonal position. A typical season runs from early April to late October.
WAGE: $16.75/hourly
