Wedgewood Weddings is looking for a dynamic addition to our Wedding & Events team!

We are accepting applications for a Seasonal Wedding Captain & Assistant!

This role is the gateway position that is designed to train you to to have the potential to become a full-time Wedding Sales Consultant & Coordinator. Our seasonal position is the perfect manner in which to learn the Wedgwood Way!

This opportunity is a fantastic way to learn everything about producing and leading our events while learning the catering sales process. We create beautiful and extraordinary wedding ceremonies & receptions! This is a perfect opportunity to join our company at an entry level with the tremendous opportunity to grow.

First and foremost, we are looking for candidates with a positive attitude and a brilliant smile!

Qualified candidates will:

• have a passion for weddings, events and the hospitality industry
• preferred but not required to posses a college degree or be a current student in an accredited academic program
• have substantial hospitality experience
• have strong computer skills with solid knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required
• be able to analyze and solve problems while multi-tasking
• have tremendous interpersonal skills (verbal/written/listening/presentation)
• possess strong organization and time management skills
• have the willingness to do "whatever it takes" to get the job done
• be willing to work a variety of shifts, weekends, evenings and holidays
• be able to exhibit grace under pressure
• be able to relate to a diverse set of team members and clients
• be able to lift chairs, move tables and participate in the set-up/tear-down of banquets.

The position is a combination of the Reception Captain, Coordinator's Assistant and Office Administrator. This is a seasonal position planned to end mid-November. Individuals who are successful in all aspects of this position will have the opportunity to be considered for full-time jobs at this and other Wedgewood Wedding locations.

The important extras:

• As is typical in the hospitality industry, this position requires regular availability to work evening, weekend, and holiday shifts, as well as shifts of more than 8 hours and workweeks of more than 40 hours.
