- Preparing and reviewing Individual and Business entity returns
- Includes making any tax adjustment and / or closing entries in bookkeeping software
- Client Communication for missing info / follow up questions
- Assist with extensions and calculating extension payments
- Update asset additions and disposals in Fixed Assets CS and /or Tax Returns
- Prepare loan amortization schedules (TValue5)
- Financial Statement - Review and Troubleshooting
- Complete weekly check-ins with team lead
- Remote (work from home)
- Minimum of 5 years' experience preparing and reviewing tax returns; must include specific experience with all types of individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns
- Ability to multitask and complete projects ahead of deadlines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Self starter who is dedicated to following through on multiple projects and responsibilities
- Tech savvy; should be familiar with navigating numerous cloud-based software programs (e.g. G Suite, Slack, Zoom, Quickbooks Online.
- Ultratax Software experience a plus
- Bookkeeping & QuickBooks experience helpful but not required
Responsibilities:
- Work directly with the tax team to prepare and review individual, corporate and partnership tax returns
- Collect necessary information and prepare work papers to firm's' standards
- Prepare financial statements in Quickbooks and adjust journal entries as needed to support the tax returns
- Work with clients on tax projections, tax notice resolution and client communication
