Description
If you are a hard-working, team player who enjoys a fun, fast-paced environment, we invite you to apply for this seasonal Sign Shop position and join our team at the Florida State Fairgrounds. This is a full-time, seasonal position from January 2, 2024 through February 11, 2024.
SUMMARY
Responsible for printing and mounting/finishing signage at the Florida State Fairgrounds for the 2024 Florida State Fair under the direction of the Sign Shop Supervisor.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Work as a member of the Sign Shop team in the on-site print production facility at the fairgrounds.
2. Receive and respond to work requests in a timely manner.
3. Access digital print files on computer and setup print production for each job with appropriate materials.
4. Print jobs as specified in work request.
5. Mount or finish print materials as needed to meet individual project specifications.
6. Prepare materials for installation according to directions provided by supervisor.
7. Meet deadlines and follow designated workflow.
8. Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the shop and equipment and notify supervisor of any issues.
9. Work under pressure with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
10. Ability to work long hours and weekends, as needed.
11. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
Prior experience printing and mounting/finishing signage is preferred. Must be able to use basic measurement tools and power tools.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to follow instructions
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to proof content is desired.
• Proficiency in utilizing a PC to access and setup print files required.
• Ability to work nights and weekends, as needed
• Must be a team player

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Duties are performed partially in an office setting. Operates computer and standard office equipment, such as telephone and copier/printer. Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and occasionally lift or move (more than 50 pounds). Environmental elements includes some exposure to wetness or humidity, work near mechanical parts, work in high places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, extreme temperatures (non-weather), risk of electrical shock, and risk of radiation.
Salary Description
$18.00 per hour
