Description
Are you passionate about the entertainment industry? Do you like hands-on work and have a keen eye for detail? We are currently looking for a Shop Technician to join our talented team. As a Shop Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our equipment while ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform full refurbishment of various game room arcade equipment that includes cranes, video games, vending machines, kiddie rides, ticket games, and more
- Collaborate with the team to identify and prioritize equipment maintenance tasks
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure the safety and functionality of all equipment
- Perform repairs and troubleshoot issues as needed and properly maintain shop tools and equipment as provided
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed
- Assist in the setup and teardown of equipment for events and productions
- Manage shop inventory and order necessary supplies
- Communicate any repair or maintenance needs to management in a timely manner
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in the use of various hand and power tools including table saw, reciprocating saw, circular saw, drills, impact drivers, sanders, cut-off tools, grinders, routers, trimmers
- Basic carpentry, woodworking, and painting
- Good mechanical ability; able to disable, repair, and reassemble various mechanical games with pulleys, bearings, shafts, gears
- Able to take accurate measurements with tape measure and dial caliper.
- Basic understanding of electrical/electronics. AC/DC voltage checks, continuity
- Able to work smart with a logical and systematic approach to projects
- Prior industry experience repairing arcade and amusement equipment desired but not required
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in the entertainment industry
