Summary
Pool Managers are responsible for overseeing all daily operations and maintains City pools. These responsibilities include completing daily administrative paperwork, strict monitoring of patrons and pool personnel, conducting hourly facility safety checks and chemical logs, and maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Essential Functions

• Enforce safety policies in the pool area in order to provide a safe atmosphere for all guests and staff members. Includes monitoring the number and actions of guests;
• Perform administrative work including completing paperwork, and depositing monies received for the day;
• Keep the pool and pool area clean by checking chemical levels in the pool and removing objects in or around the pool which may create danger;
• Assists in implementation of Emergency Action Plans;
• Perform customer service duties, resolve customer complaints;
• Reports daily to Aquatics Coordinator and Assistant Aquatics Coordinator;
• Perform related duties as required.

Qualifications
Completion of high school diploma or education and experience that provides the following:
Must be 18 years of age or older at time of hire
Physical Exam Required
American Red Cross certified in CPR, AED, and First Aid required. These certifications must be obtained prior to start of work.
Knowledge and Abilities
Knowledge of:

• Water chemistry and facilities management;
• Principles of supervision and management.

Ability to:

• Supervise the work of lifeguards;
• Organize and manage special activities;
• Communicate effectively with others.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently stand, kneel and walk during shift;
• Occasionally bend during shift;
• Push and pull objects in order to clean pool;
• Occasionally push and pull objects in order to clean pool;
• Occasionally flex upper trunk forward and at the waist and partially flexing of knees;
• Frequently rotate upper trunk to the right or left while sitting or standing;
• Place arms above, at or below shoulder height.

Part-time employees who have at least six (6) months continuous employment may be paid for all holidays except the Veterans Day floating holiday. Part-time employees are not eligible for the Veteran's Day floating holiday because City offices are not closed on that day. The number of hours granted these employees as holiday pay is based on the average number of hours normally worked in a day.
The City designates the eleven (11) following dates as holidays to be observed with pay:

Labor Day - First Monday of September
Veterans Day - November 11 (Floating Holiday)
