We are currently looking for a Seasonal Jr. Grounds Keeper to join our team in Holland.
Assist with grounds and facilities maintenance tasks. Utilizes various tools and heavy equipment to complete job requirements.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:00am-2:30pm with the possibility of overtime
Rate: $18 per/hr
Duration of this seasonal position : May until August

Major Responsibilities
Assists with small groundskeeping projects, that can transcend across the full array of discipline related needs.
Assists with landscaping operations per blueprint specifications, including soil preparation, seeding, and planting of material per appropriate methods, to maintain site and ensure positive customer experience. Must be willing to work outdoors in any kind of weather.
Performs trimming, pruning, and fertilization of shrubs, trees, and flowers; mows, fertilizes, and performs general lawn maintenance care; maintains environmental conditions of pond and grounds, using appropriate chemicals.
May installs, operates, and maintains underground sprinkling, ensuring efficient, economical, and environmentally responsible system.

Respect and follow safety policies and regulations; scan the environment for things that may pose a safety risk; encourage others to utilize safe and healthy work practices.
Follow company policies and standard work procedures. Encourage others to follow work rules. Call attention to actions that may violate policies and procedures.
Perform quality work and follow proper processes and instructions.
Flex weekly work schedule as business demands; may work more than forty hours per week.
Cross-train and perform in other job functions as requested.
Complete other duties as needed.
Do you meet these qualifications?
EDUCATION
8th grade
Must be 18 years of age
WORK REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE:
New members may be placed in this job and receive on the job training.
Must obtain and maintain valid powered vehicle license and State of Michigan driver’s license.
Must be willing and able to work outdoors in any kind of weather.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge and understanding of landscaping and grounds maintenance theories.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Must be willing and able to work outdoors in any kind of weather.
Knowledge of facilities project planning.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal & written; excellent interpersonal and presentations skills required.
Good visual and depth perception required.
Good hand/eye coordination to maneuver hi-lo in tight areas.
PC and keyboard/mouse skills required, working knowledge of standard (i.e., word processing, spreadsheet, Outlook) software applications.
TECHNICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to use basic hand, air, cordless, and/or electric tools.
Ability to utilize appropriate electronic production system and maintenance management system to complete job duties, along with the respective technology tools, e.g. personal computer (PC), tablet, keyboard, mouse, RF gun.
Ability to or ability to learn to read and follow basic blueprints.
Good color perception.
Strong manual dexterity.
ENVIRONMENTAL/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Large machinery and equipment used in work areas. Possibility of cuts, scrapes or bruises.
Moderate exposure to dust, noise, solvent, heat, paint, and lubricants. May also be exposed to glue, solvent, heat, paint, fiberglass, and denatured alcohol.
Constant mental and visual alertness required to avoid potential serious injury to self and others in all work groups.
Eye protection required; hearing protection may be required.
Moves and may lift materials and/or products weighing up to 50 pounds, occasionally more (assistance given with heavier objects).
Walks, bends, twists, turns, reaches and lifts while performing functions of position.
Standing required for extended periods.
Work requires regular repetitive arm and hand movement.
May be required to climb stairs and ladders. Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:
