Our extraordinary Food Service team assist with all aspects of our Food Service operation. At The Wilds, you may help serve daily guests at The Overlook Café, Carnivore Grill, or Safari Snack Depot. You may also be tasked with table service for our lodging guest meals or help cater to large group picnics.
- To greet and provide all guests of the Wilds with prompt friendly service.
- To execute accurate sales transactions allowing for accurate record keeping.
- Encouraging our guests to round up their sale, increasing the dollars available to support the Wilds program areas.
- Food preparation for daily guests, visiting groups and overnight visitors.
- Learn and follow ServSafe guidelines in order to provide a safe and sanitary food environment.
- To maintain a clean and safe work area, including restocking, inventory and cleaning to include dinning room and deck spaces.
- Learn about The Wilds and the species here in order to accurately answer guest questions.
- Provide support to other Visitor Operations/Park Operations positions as needed.
- Strive to further the mission of the organization and support The Wilds, The Zoo, Zoombezi Bay and Safari Golf Club.
- Adhere to the attendance policy, cell phone policy and all family of parks policies.
- Adhere to our Responsible Alcohol Policy.
- Help in all aspects of the Food & Beverage Department as needed.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude toward guests and co-workers
- Maintain a high level of communication with the Area Lead, Kitchen Coordinator and F & B Manager.
- Customer service/sales experience preferred.
- Positive, professional attitude.
- Good math, communication and keyboarding skills.
- Ability to adapt easily to changing circumstances in a busy work place.
- Good decision making skills.
- Ability to operate a two-way radio.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including holidays, weekends and evenings.
- Ability to provide excellent guest service and uphold the Make it G.R.E.A.T. standards.
- Develop and maintain cooperative relationships with all Wilds/Zoo team members.
- Communicate well both verbally and in writing required.
- Plan and organize work in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Possesion of a valid state issued drivers license and a good driving record is a must.
- Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.
