The Luxury Hotel Seamstress is a pivotal role within our esteemed establishment, ensuring our associates reflect the high standards of our brand through impeccable uniform presentation. This individual possesses adept skills in tailoring, embroidery, and garment repair, and will occasionally assist in our laundry department to ensure holistic garment care. 

What You’ll Do  

Tailoring & Alterations: 

• Expertly adjust hotel uniforms to ensure a precise fit for all associates, enhancing their professional appearance and comfort. 

• Execute modifications to existing garments as per the unique requirements of each associate. 

Embroidery: 

• Craft detailed and consistent embroidery on uniforms, upholding the hotel’s branding and luxury aesthetic. 

• Maintain and calibrate embroidery equipment to always ensure top-notch quality. 

Garment Repairs: 

• Conduct meticulous repairs on uniforms, including but not limited to button replacements, seam repairs, and patchwork. 

• Restore garments to their original splendor, ensuring longevity and sustainability. 

Laundry Assistance: 

• Support the laundry team as needed, ensuring the seamless operation of garment cleaning and maintenance processes. 

• Coordinate with the laundry team to prioritize pressing, washing, and dry-cleaning of uniforms, especially post-alteration or repair. 

Equipment Maintenance: 

• Regularly clean, maintain, and service sewing and embroidery machines to guarantee optimal performance. 

• Report any equipment malfunctions to the relevant department for timely resolution. 

Qualifications 

• Proven experience as a professional seamstress or tailor, preferably within the hospitality industry. 

• Proficiency in using industrial sewing and embroidery machines. 

• Strong attention to detail, with an emphasis on precision and quality. 

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple tasks and deadlines. 

• Excellent interpersonal skills, with a willingness to collaborate with multiple departments.
