Reporting to the VP of the Affinitiv EPO (Enterprise Program Office), Affinitiv seeks an experienced Scrum Master to oversee and guide scrum teams. The Scrum Master plays a pivotal role in ensuring delivery commitments are met while managing teams by following Agile practices. A successful Scrum Master at Affinitive should seek to improve process, plan effectively and motivate teams to deliver according to plan in order to meet product goals and customer need.

Position Responsibilities:

• Plan, manage, and deliver solutions using Agile methodology values, principles, practices and artifacts
• Train, mentor and support scrum teams to follow Agile values, principles and practices
• Determine and manage tasks, issues, risks and action items
• Remove impediments and coach the scrum team on removing impediments
• Facilitate discussion, decision making and conflict resolution
• Schedule and facilitate scrum events, meetings and decision-making processes
• Help teams implement changes effectively and efficiently
• Support and educate the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog
• Help the scrum team achieve higher levels of scrum maturity
• Improve transparency by reporting on and tracking sprint metrics and communicating effectively with internal stakeholders
• Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on problem solving
• Ensure time logging accuracy

Position Requirements:

• 4-year college degree or commensurate experience
• A scrum master certification (CSM) would be a strong plus
• 2+ years of experience as a scrum master or in a similar role
• Working knowledge of Agile methodology, techniques, and frameworks, such as Scrum or Kanban, to deliver solutions
• Extensive JIRA/Confluence experience
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and prioritization skills
• Strong communication, facilitation, negotiation and coaching skills
• Ability to work with and lead a team
• Excellent people and project management skills
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment
• Self-motivation and ability to stay focused in the midst of distractions
• A sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company's success
