As a Scientist of Plant Physiology on the Product Development (PD) team, you will help develop and lead an innovative research program providing key data on plant physiological responses to new and developing biofertilizer products.
Reporting to the Asst. Director of PD, you will design, execute, and interpret experiments to study plant responses to microbial products using molecular and biochemical assays; propose, evaluate, and implement new and innovative analytical techniques; solve technical and non-technical problems; and manage complex projects.

You are an experienced professional able to work closely and effectively with peers and communicate with and mentor junior team members. You have knowledge of Plant Physiology and plant biology with experience driving the application of scientific findings to business operations and product launches. You are eager to work in a hyper-growth start-up environment and exude passion and excitement for controlled systems and experimental design.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. in Plant Physiology, Molecular Plant Biology, Botany, Plant Pathology, or related fields
- Minimum 1 year of industry experience in Plant Physiology related field.
- Expertise in plant physiological responses and methods of assessment
- Expertise in molecular biology techniques and methods specific to plants
- Expertise in plant growth and tissue culture
- Familiarity with methods of plant inoculation with microbials
- Familiarity with soil nitrogen cycles and plant nitrogen demand
