Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching and Instruction:
- Deliver engaging and rigorous lesson plans in two 6th Grade English classes.
- Conduct dynamic and inquiry-based science lessons for two 7th Grade Science classes.
- Teach an integrated and challenging math curriculum for a combined 6th/7th Grade Math class.
- Curriculum Development and Planning:
- Prepare and adapt teaching materials in line with the classical education model.
- Collaborate with colleagues for a cohesive and interdisciplinary educational approach.
- Customize teaching methods to address diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Classroom Management:
- Foster a respectful, focused, and interactive learning environment.
- Apply effective strategies to encourage student participation and engagement.
- Regularly assess student progress, maintaining accurate records.
- Professional Responsibilities:
- Participate in school meetings, professional development sessions, and workshops.
- Communicate with parents to provide updates on student progress and development.
- Engage in continuous professional growth in line with classical education principles.
- Resource Hour Supervision:
- Supervise and support students during a designated resource hour.
- Preparation Periods:
- Utilize two prep periods for planning, grading, and professional activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
- Valid WI teaching license with appropriate grade level certification.
- Experience in teaching English, Science, and Math at the middle school level.
- Strong classroom management and pedagogical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
