Length of employment is 200 days (10 months); contract renewable in accordance with School Board policy and the Code of Virginia.

Seeking qualified teacher to provide science instruction at the High School level.
Length of employment is 200 days (10 months); contract renewable in accordance with School Board policy and the Code of Virginia.
Qualifications:
- Hold or be eligible for licensure in Virginia with appropriate secondary science endorsement
- Masters degree in content area or 18 graduate credit hours in content area beyond Bachelors degree desirable
- Demonstrated understanding of standards-based curriculum, research-based instructional strategies, and effective assessment practices
- Ability to model and promote a culture of high expectations for student and staff performance
- Understanding of continuous school improvement and Effective Schools research
- Ability to disaggregate and use data to inform instruction
- Experience working with diverse populations, including students with disabilities, English language learners, students who live in poverty, and students who are gifted
- Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work in a collaborative/shared-leadership environment
