QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher
- Hold an Oregon Teaching License and/or CTE Agricultural Science License through Teacher Standards & Practices Commission
- Strong computer and technical skills
- Must be considered a Highly Qualified teacher by TSPC and/or ODE standards to teach core content courses
- Grade level authorization to teach in grades 9th and 12th.
- Ability to establish positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
- Professional educator with a passion for the content and an ability to engage and inspire students
- Experience with trauma informed and culturally/linguistically relevant practices
- Interest in supporting student development beyond the classroom (coach, mentor, club sponsor) is appreciated
- Must be able to provide proof of Covid-19 vaccine or a medical or religious exemption form.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Estimated start date - August 25, 2023 (new staff orientation)
- 0.5 FTE - 190-day contract (191-day for new teachers)
- Base Salary: $42,880 - $77,446 (Half of base salary)- Dependent on years of teaching experience and college credits as per the TEA Collective Bargaining Agreement
- District paid employee contribution to PERS (Public Employees Retirement System)
- TSD9 covers the full 6% for PERS retirement
- 403 (b) Supplemental Retirement Saving Opportunities
