JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: Food Server – School Cafeteria
COMPENSATION: $12-13/hour
Job Duties:
· Serve student meals and ensure the requirements for reimbursable meals are being met.
· Fill out the production record clearly and accurately
· Maintain a current and thorough knowledge of state requirements for school food service as measured by random testing.
· Monitor temperatures for hot and cold food items for delivery to classrooms.
· Wash service wares and kitchen utensils.
· Clean the kitchen & serving areas as necessary.
· Maintain a positive attitude with students and staff.
· Recognize and report all necessary facilities maintenance promptly.
· Quickly notify supervisor of issues that arise during meal service.
· Fills in as needed for smooth operations.
· Adheres to all sanitation regulations.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Food Handler or Food Safety Manager Certification
· Successful background check in compliance with state law
· Previous child nutrition experience preferred
· A valid driver's license and clean driving record
· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with teammates and school partners
· Physical stamina and good upper body strength to lift heavy bags and objects, as well as be able to load and unload them from the van
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
