Job description

Job Title: School Psychologist-75% Remote

Overview:

CASA Speech and Development Services is looking for a self-driven and motivated Clinical Director who has great attitude and willingness to adapt to practice direction, goals, and objectives. Must be willing and able to work directly with the Executive Director and office administrative staff.

As a School Psychologist, you will play a pivotal role in promoting the academic, social, and emotional development of students in our educational institution. You will work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying and addressing behavioral, emotional, and learning challenges to enhance students' overall well-being and academic success.

Responsibilities:

1. Psychological Assessment: Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning. Utilize standardized tests, interviews, observations, and other assessment tools to identify learning disabilities, giftedness, emotional disturbances, and other psychological concerns.

2. Intervention Planning: Develop individualized intervention plans based on assessment findings to address students' specific needs and challenges. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to implement effective strategies that promote academic progress and positive behavioral changes.

3. Consultation: Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to address students' academic and behavioral concerns. Collaborate in developing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and 504 plans to ensure the accommodation of students with special needs.

4. Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect and analyze data related to student performance, behavior, and mental health. Use this data to make informed decisions, track progress, and identify trends that can improve educational practices.

5. Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest research and best practices in school psychology and education. Participate in ongoing professional development activities to enhance your knowledge and skills.


Requirements:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
  • Arizona certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
  • Knowledge of psychological assessment methods, counseling techniques, and intervention strategies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Sensitivity and understanding of cultural diversity and its impact on student development.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate documentation and report writing.
  • Adherence to ethical guidelines and standards of professional conduct in all interactions.
