Job Description
Position Type: Full-Time
Caseload:Classroom nurse for 5-7 students in a class that are medically fragile.
Pay Range:LPN $27+/hr; RN$33+/hr
Key Responsibilities:
- Administering medication and treatments as prescribed by physicians and following school policies and procedures.
- Monitoring and managing students with chronic health conditions, such as asthma, diabetes, allergies, etc.
- Assessing and addressing injuries or illnesses that may occur during school hours.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date health records for all students.
- municating with parents, teachers, and administrators regarding student health concerns.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized healthcare plans.
- Participating in health screenings, immunization programs, and health education initiatives.
- Maintaining a clean and organized healthcare facility within the school premises.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
- Experience working as an LPN in a school, pediatric, or similar healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to assess, identify, and respond to medical emergencies promptly and efficiently.
- Excellent munication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- Empathetic, passionate, and patient-focused approach to care.
- Proficient in maintaining accurate and organized health records.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
