School Nurse

Location:

School district within the five boroughs of New York. The 5 boroughs include Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, and Manhattan

Job Requirement

• Must have the knowledge and skill to implement all of the current OSH management protocols including those in asthma, diabetes, Epi-pen training, obesity and mental health.
• Nurses in schools must familiarize themselves with the school’s Emergency Response Plan.
• Must be available for student emergencies.
• Nurses shall comply with IEP and Medicaid reporting requirements.

Education/Certification/Experience:

•  Nursing Degree
• Registered Nurse in New York
• Valid NYS License
• At least 2 years of RN experience
• Current certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillators (CPR/AED) for adults, children and infants
