New Hampshire's first statewide online high school, the Virtual Learning Academy Charter School, is currently accepting applications for a 60% NH certified School Counselor needed to provide academic support services to part-time k-12 VLACS students. The counselor will work with parents and students to help facilitate the success of all students students at VLACS. This position will also serve as a liaison to other NH schools by working with School Counselors and administrators throughout the state to provide them with relevant information so they can support their students enrolled at VLACS. Training and professional development for the online component will be provided, and applicants should be: -Experienced-Hold a valid NH school counseling certificate-Interested in using Internet technologies as a powerful teaching tool to provide a personalized student-learning environment Responsibilities may include - help in counseling our diverse part-time population- help partner schools work with students taking VLACS courses- counsel parents of part-time students on VLACS courses and programming
