School Bus Driver

Hallsville School District is accepting applications for School Bus Drivers for the current school year. This is a 9-month position with benefits. Hallsville School District follows a 4-day school week, Tuesday - Friday. Qualified applicants need to have the ability to obtain and maintain a Class B CDL with S and P endorsements. Background check and an annual phsycial are required. Drivers are paid per route.
Additional Job Qualifications:

• Hold a current valid Missouri Driver's License
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Must have reliable attendance
• Must care about students and their safety
• Follows laws, regulations, and rules that are established by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, Department of Revenue, State of Missouri, and the Hallsville School District
• Keeps control of students on the bus and follows discipline procedures that have been adopted
• Is neat, clean, pleasant, and sets a good example for all students
• Does daily pre-trip inspections and reports any mechanical concerns to the Fleet Technician
• Keeps and maintains accurate student seating charts
• Attends safety meetings and other training when necessary

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee must regularly sit, talk, listen, drive and respond. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use the repetitive wrist, hand and/or finger movements; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, precise hand-eye coordination, and the ability to identify and distinguish colors. Occasionally, the employee may lift up to 50 pounds. The employee may be required to exceed the minimum physical demand specifications should the safety and security of students and staff be compromised. The noise level in the work environment is usually at a moderate level. The employee continuously interacts with staff and the public. Travel is necessary to various District buildings and/or sites.
