Job Summary and QualificationsGENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES - The School Based Clinician is primarily responsible for providing counseling services in assigned school setting. Counseling services include, but are not limited to: individual counseling, group counseling, family sessions as needed, consult and collaboration with appropriate school district personnel, and collaboration with any additional supports, including Children Family Services as needed.

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Reviews and responds to each referral within 2 business days
Completes psychosocial assessment within 5 business days
Develops treatment plan for each client within 5 business days
Conducts clinical interviews, assessments, observations, provides individual, group and family therapy services
Conducts crisis risk assessments and response, as appropriate for school setting
Complete discharge planning, including appropriate referrals and documentation, within 5 business days of discharge
Educate yourself and follow school district protocal in relation to crisis interventions
Assess clients for higher level of care needs, if the student is in crisis
Particiapte in student team meetings (ie: 504 meetings and IEP meetings) as needed
Maintain appropriate documentation, including maintaining all timelines as set forth policies
Attend and participate in the internal School Team Meetings and Supervision, as scheduled
Maintain data on all students served
Proactively identifies potential problems and manages them effectively
Serves as a member of the school team and integrates self with school-wise culture and system while also adhering to TMCA policies and procedures
Work collaboratively with school district staff and outside organizations
Opportunity to complete on-site or of- site clinical assessments via telemental health to determine level of care during periods of downtime to support the HealthONE's assessment team.
o Assessments must comply with all requirements for assessment and documentation
o Maintains competency as an Access Response clinician, if completing assessments for HCAT
Ensures patient rights and confidentiality are maintained
Participates as an active member of the multidisciplinary team
Completes additional duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Possess ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Posses a thorough knowledge of current behavioral health concepts, principles and methods of treatment
Possess good communication skills verbal and written
Possess good organization skills and able to act on multiple tasks
Maintain appropriate boundaries with school district personnel, while also developing team approach within school setting
Demonstrates ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to follow established policy and procedures when performing job functions
Ability to demonstrate good judgment and clinical skills within a general standard of practice Interacts and communicates with others in a way that promotes a positive and cooperative work environment
Ablility to manage and consult appropriately on all issues and concerns that arise in a prompt and professional manner

EDUCATION
- Possess a Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field
EXPERIENCE:
- Prefer 1-3 years' experience in a behavioral healthcare setting, community mental health or School Based setting
CERTIFICATE/LICENSE:
- Licensed to perform clinical assessments to determine level of care needs and to diagnose according to the current version of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual is required.
- Must hold and maintain current Colorado licensure as a mental health professional; LPCC, LPC, LSW, LCSW, LSW, LMSW and/or LMFT
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to follow established policy and procedures when performing job functions.
Interacts and communicates with others in a way that promotes a positive and cooperative work environment
Ability to provide crisis intervention and engage multiple systems in diagnostic formulation and disposition.
Respond to all customers using AIDET, iCARE, and knowledge with Trauma Informed Care.
Working knowledge of G Suites; including Google Drive, Meets, Hangouts, Docs, Sheets, etc
Ability to work virtually, if needed, within the policies and procedures regulations
Degree of Supervision Required: Involves general guidance and direction by Integrated Services Lead. Employee will be expected to perform most job duties independently and in accordance with established departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
