Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of students in two elementary schools near Burlington, MA. This is a full-time position with a temporary assignment from ASAP to June 14, 2023.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with and support an Occupational Therapist (OT) onsite in providing services to students in two elementary schools.
- Implement therapeutic activities and exercises as directed by the OT to address individual and group needs.
- Assist in the development and implementation of treatment plans to promote students' fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, and overall functional independence.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and participation in therapy sessions.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification as an Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA).
- Active Massachussetts COTA license
- Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with school staff, parents, and other professionals.
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet the diverse needs of students.
Schedule: The position is 35 hours per week, providing ample opportunity to engage with students and contribute to their overall well-being. The selected candidate will work closely with the OT to ensure a cohesive and prehensive approach to therapy.
