General Statement of Job: The Student Activities Director (SAD) under general supervision will oversee and supervise all afterschool and extracurricular student activities programs. The SAD will ensure that each student has an opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities that will foster physical, social, and emotional skills as well as a sense of work and competence and accomplishment. The SAD will report to the school principal and coordinate extracurricular activities with the appropriate district staff.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
A Master's degree is strongly recommended, with a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in education or other relevant field supplemented by experience working with children in an educational setting; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
South Carolina teacher's certification strongly preferred. Compensation may vary with regard to the hours earned beyond a Bachelor's degree, possession of teacher certification, and the years served as a certified teacher.
Must attain or possess certification in CPR and AED, updating certification once every two years. Must also maintain records of coaches' certifications with names, dates, and valid period, to ensure that certifications are always current.
Salary: $47,179 - $96,219
Based on teacher salary scale and district supplements for 220 Days
