Context: The Catch A Break! Scholarship program was established ten years ago to assist highly motivated Minnesota residents to graduate college debt-free. CAB!'s unique Scholarship Program offers substantial financial assistance, but it is more than just a check. It provides an uplifting community of scholars and alumni, as well as individual mentorship throughout our scholars' college years. We look to find high-potential scholars and help them soar, making big differences with their lives. We want to help them change the world!
Your role: The scholarship is in its 10th year. We need an individual who can help with this mandate, administering and running the program. The current position is 3 days/week as a Manager. Our goal is to work withsomeone who could also strengthen the program. We hope to work with someone who has the skills, values and interest to spend more time on the Scholarship, eventually serving as the Executive Director.
There are multiple conceptual and administrative components. We could list the numerous details you would anticipate. Not needed at this juncture. Let's discuss if we decide to meet. Of course, computer skills are important including word processing, spreadsheet analysis and database management. No fund raising is needed. You would have an administrative assistant to help with weekly management.
At this point, we believe the work can be accomplished within 24 hours/week with a 3-4 day work week depending on the optimal division of time. The ideal CAB! leader would focus on management of the program administration. They would also actively engage with others in the field as time is available, learning from them and promoting awareness of CAB!. Shepherding and strengthening the scholarship is a goal. We hope you would want to grow with the organization. There is adedicated office suite in Deephaven with off-site meetings as needed. This is not a hybrid position.
Vacation and sick time are prorated. The Organization does not offer any retirement or health insurance benefits.
