This is a 40 hour per week position. EOE
Work hours are somewhere between 7 am and 5:30 pm dependent on the position and patient needs. Some positions may work on a Saturday rotation with hours between 7 am and 12 pm.
Responsibilities:
The Scheduling Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of the provider schedules. This position manages the templates, scheduling software, communication, and coordination with all departments utilizing and affecting schedules. The supervisor is responsible for continuous analysis of the schedule and workflow to maximize efficiency, capacity, patient, provider and employee satisfaction. This position provides direction and leadership to the departments to achieve the highest level of quality and works closely with providers, managers and staff of all levels.
Education & Experience:
- 1-2 years in healthcare setting preferred
- 1-2 years experience in leadership and training preferred
- 1-3 years experience with patient scheduling
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Essential Skills and Abilities:
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Manage patient, physician and staff expectations
- Ability to work with physicians and staff to educate them on all aspects of scheduling
- Work well independently and as a team player. Support and promote teamwork and team building.
- Computer literacy with various types of software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to service all levels (patients, staff, physicians, and leadership team) and age groups
- Maintain a professional, respectful, and friendly image
- Well-organized with attention to detail while working in a fast paced environment. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Confident in decision making
- Competent on presenting to, and training adult learners
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple demands on a daily basis
- Understand the day-to-day operation and needs of the practice
- Excel under pressure and tolerate stress calmly and professionally
- Ability to be flexible with schedule and to adapt to last minute meetings/training sessions
