Job Summary and QualificationsAs a Scheduler Transplant Assistant in Renal Transplant, you will be responsible for administrative support duties for the transplant program director and the transplant nursing staff. You will support the Transplant Social Workers and Financial Coordinator in areas regarding pre-transplant evaluation. You must communicate effectively and professionally with the transplant team, physicians, patients’ families and other departments.
- You will conduct intakes/inquiries for potential transplant recipients and living donors
- You will schedule the bi-monthly transplant orientation class
- You will schedule evaluation and re-evaluation testing appointments for pre-transplant patients
- You will communicate with patients, physicians, dialysis units, hospital and Transplant Team
- You will assist Nurse in preparation for clinic
Education
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Knowledge of medical terminology, computer skills and medical experience - preferred
Experience
- College or 3 years of clerical experience
Licensure
- Medical Assistant, Certified Nurse Assistant, Patient Care Technician or LVN - preferred
