Job Summary and Qualifications

The Program Assistant provides patient support in accordance with established policies and procedures of Medical City Dallas Hospital. In collaboration with the medical staff, patients, patient’s family and other members of the health care team. The Program Assistant is responsible for utilizing a holistic and interdisciplinary approach to coordinate the care of recipients in the Liver Transplant program. In addition, the Program Assistant may also be responsible coordinating care from application through transplant. The Program Assistant will also collaborate care with other disciplines and providers as it relates to the needs of the recipient for transplant. The Transplant Assistant provides support for the solidorgan transplant team.

What you will do in this role:

• Greets patients, visitors to our medical office
• Triages all phone calls into our Transplant Clinic
• Triage and process messages from all patients
• Provides assistance to patients when needed
• Manages inventory of necessary office supplies and coordinates ordering
• Ensure the reception area remains welcoming and organized
• Patients transfers within the facility
• Facilitates patient flow by notifying the provider and clinical staff of any patient delays
• Collects and provides data entry consistent with established quality and integrity standards
• Maintains patient confidentiality

What qualifications you will need:

• 1-2 years clerical or medical office experience preferred
• Ability to work independently
• Strong oral and written skills
• Strong organization and time management skills to ensure patient flow
• Ability to meet and deal effectively with others
• Proficiency with computer programs
