Aspire Rural Health System is seeking a full Scheduler in our Patient Access Department. We are looking for those who have a great attitude to join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals who are constantly striving to provide the highest quality of services for our patient.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Associates degree preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Working knowledge of computer data processing.
- Understand and be proficient in basic mathematical skills (division and multiplication; subtraction and addition), such as being able to calculate payer reimbursement and determine the patient’s financial responsibility (the amount due; their out-of-pocket expenses).
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
Responsibilities: Plans and organizes all appointment schedules. Coordinates pre-admit paperwork for all outpatient appointments including pre-surg, to expedite patient flow resulting in better customer service. Pre-registers patients, verifies patients’ insurance and determines patients’ financial responsibility (out-of-pocket costs).
