Description:

The Mid or Sr level Endpoint Platform Engineer builds, tests, deploys, and maintains solutions to manage a fleet of endpoints, at an enterprise scale. This position acts as a technical subject matter expert and technical liaison for Client Platform Engineering infrastructure and ITOS initiatives.

• Ensure all service requests are completed in a timely manner, delivering excellent customer service
• Perform problem analysis and provide solutions and recommendations for technical issues that affect user experiences
• Advise on assigned Endpoint Platform Engineer projects in coordination with the information technology department and the project management office.
• Accurately document incidents, processes, procedures, and user guides
• Evaluate new end point platform technologies that support long term strategic needs while maintaining an unbiased view of all technology providers
• Help develop the long-term strategy and vision work efforts focused on end point platform needs
• Create, deploy, troubleshoot and support MSI, EXE, scripted and other types of automated application and patch installations
• Provide advance application and deployment support and troubleshooting
• Assist in deployments, software upgrades, and significant operational initiatives, including migrations of end user workstations from Enterprise Tools
• Develop policies, processes, and procedures as it pertains to the use of EndPoint Management within an enterprise environment
• Peer review and provide feedback relative to best practices and improving performance
• Troubleshoot production support issues post-deployment and recommend solutions as required
• Continue to improve and scale the existing platforms
• Train and act as an escalation point for Service Desk and Site Support personnel
• Work on endpoint image builds and maintenance
• Collaborate with I.T. Security to establish and implement end user security settings
• Collaborate with support teams to develop and optimize OS deployment and automated build processes
• Diagnose endpoint deployment issues and perform root cause analysis
• Monitor the performance of managed systems, take appropriate action for critical issues and develop long term recommendations for recurring issues
