Kimley-Horn has a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a motivated SCADA Engineer, Project Engineer to join our Power Delivery / Substation practice in Tampa, Florida!
- Work with engineering systems to ensure requirements are incorporated into the SCADA system.
- Assist in troubleshooting issues faced on the interfaces between SCADA and the other components on the solutions (with RTUs, ICCP, GIS, OMS, PI, data).
- Support the Database and Display teams with SCADA expertise.
- Collaborate with Customer OT and IT teams, and with the SCADA Technology provider to mitigate risks.
- Provide daily maintenance on the EMS / SCADA system hardware and software.
- Assist with SCADA system testing and configuration.

- BS or MS degree in the field of Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 15 years of prior experience with SCADA systems in a transmission or distribution utility setting.
- Experienced in the implementation and maintenance of large-scale SCADA systems running on a major vendor platform: GE, OSII, ABB, AVEVA (Schneider), Siemens, etc.
- Ability to comprehend technical documentation (e.g., substation one-line diagrams, substation construction prints, etc.).
- Familiarity with relay protection and instrumentation system schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Licensed EE in the state of FL (or ability to obtain within a year of employment) desired.
- Strong sense of urgency and self-discipline to meet client deadlines.
- Detail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment.
- Ability to multi-task and work on a variety of projects concurrently.
