A SCADA Analyst provides formal and in-formal end-usertraining and support; designs, programs, installs and maintains application;designs networks to support SCADA applications; manages projects; acts asliaison between district staff and field; acts as systems administrator forvarious district SCADA /DCS systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Meets with operations staff to analyze and documentSCADA/DCS and other control system needs; reviews new applications, programs,and their impact on operations; designs, develops, and modifies programs;implements new functionality of SCADA/DCS Systems. Establishes long-term needsfor SCADA/DCS systems, and plans strategy for developing systems.
Implements, maintains, and supports systems related toSCADA/DCS applications; research problems and issues reported by users;determines best method for issue resolution. Installs new releases and programfixes for SCADA/DCS system applications, software, and hardware; providesdatabase administration and maintenance; maintains security of SCADA/DCS andother control systems, databases, and applications.
Troubleshoots, programs, and repairs/replaces programmablelogic controllers (PLC's), logic modules, data modules, and PLC networkcommunications equipment. Evaluates SCADA/DCS system communications performanceand monitors SCADA system data collection reports; acts as SCADA /DCScomputerized control systems administrator.
Trains and provides technical assistance to operations andmaintenance staff in SCADA/DCS applications, computer control equipment and SQLdata reporting; develops ad-hoc and complex reports from enterpriseapplications using SQL, Access, and Excel; develops queries and databases tosupport requested reports; provides technical assistance to users; advises inthe

ƒTCP/IP, LAN, WAN, MPLS, Frame Relay, Wireless, Fiber Optic, and Remote Access
