Form of workSaw Operator - 3rd ShiftWho we are looking for:We are currently searching for an experienced Saw Operator (M-F, occasional Saturdays) to be based out of Harvey, IL approximately 30 miles south of Downtown Chicago. Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, this person will be responsible for set-up and operation of Adige, Hem, band, and circular saws to cut tube, pipe and channels to required lengths.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience driving a forklift and in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus.What you'll do: Perform routine maintenance checks prior to operation. Check to make sure all machine guards/exhausts are operative and in place. Check raw material to ensure proper size, gauge, length, and finish. Set-up and operate saw for customer orders. Load/unload saws with forklifts. Must ensure that orders are cut per specifications on the order. Check quality of finished parts to meet specs and/or match the sample piece.
