What you’ll do:
Position title: SAP CIC iXp Intern – DevOps
Location: Newport Beach, CA (Hybrid)
Expected Start Date: February 2024
Duration: 6 Months
Schedule: 25-35 HR/Week
In this role, you’ll:
Work on metrics collection pipeline. This helps each service maintain their SLA to other services and customers.
Identify key performance indicators
Collect, aggregate, and present performance results to different stakeholders: Product Management, Service Development, DevOps, etc…
Create metric dashboards (HTML/JS, Grafana, Kibana, Redash, …)
Support development teams in using the tools we provide to accomplish their requirements.
In our journey towards “self-service” our development teams are taking on more ownership
Write automations for different stages of our build/test/deliver/configure pipelines that are still manualy performed.
We want to automate repetitive work and let developers focus on customer needs and requirements.

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

Process Automation
Git, GitHub, PRs
Educational requirements: Currently enrolledt in an academic program (such as Bachelor's or Master's Degree) or Recent Graduate (within the past 6 Months)
Desired skills / experience to be successful in this role
Experience working on team projects
Experience writing and consuming APIs
Experience with event or message queues
Bonus:
Experience with task automation and automation tools (Bash, Python, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, etc…)
Experience with deploying and running an application on a Cloud Provider (AWS, Azure, GCP, …)
Plus for defining cloud resources “as code” (Cloud Formation, ARM Templates, Terraform, …)

The DevOps team is passionate about facilitating the vision of our development partners. We strive to accomplish this goal through providing the tools and capabilities necessary for development teams to manage their own infrastructure dependencies, application testing, and service/UI deployment, in a “self-service” manner.
