Job Title: IT - SAP Basis Engineer

Because SAP Basis major tasks for Productions are completed outside of office hours, s/he should be prepared to work outside of office hours as needed
Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret shifting business report requirements.
- SAP Data Base Refresh, SAP System Copy, SAP Installation & Kernel Upgrade
- Fundamental understanding of operating systems (Linux and Windows), storage, and networking
- Familiarity with SAP databases such as SAP HANA (Primary), Oracle (Secondary), and DB2.
- Conduct technical research with recommendations for action into IT related topics: methodologies, software, operations, etc.
- Develops software and system support documentation and procedures according to Rust-Oleum standards, and Sarbane-Oxley legal requirements
- Modifies existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance. Coordinates installation of software system.
- Consults with engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements and resolve customer problems.
- Report with customers or other departments on project status, proposals and technical issues such as software system design and maintenance.
- Prepares reports and correspondence concerning project specifications, activities and status. Documentation of full process and code at each stage
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related
- 5-6 years of experience preferred
- Preferred Certification in in SAP HANA & SAP Netweaver
- Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company's success
- Able to use professional concepts and apply company policies/procedures to work where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
- Able to exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
- Good time-management skills and great interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in an agile environment.
