Arthrex is actively seeking a SAP Basis Administrator II to work directly with the IT departments within Arthrex to maintain the technical life-cycle management of SAP systems, in an on-premise or cloud environment. System scope includes but is not limited to the following SAP products: Suite on HANA/S/4 HANA, ECC HCM, GTS, TREX, BW on HANA, SLT, BOBJ, Fiori, Gateway, WebDispatcher, PO, GRC, TDMS and Solution Manager.
System scope for non-SAP products includes the following, but is not limited to these: OpenText, Vertex, BSI, Paymetric, Vistex, Redwood RMJ, Process Weaver, Esker, and Azure Data Factory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Apply standard SAP principles, concepts, and techniques in system installation, monitoring performance, problem diagnosis, and resolution.
- Perform systems installation and maintenance, including upgrades and patches, printer configuration.
- Support the technical implementation of the systems landscape as it evolves (i.e., development, test, staging, and production).
- Perform and/or coordinate system copy and/or system refresh, and post steps with functional teams.
- Monitor and tune system performance.
- System capacity planning and archiving.
- Coordinate for backup and restore.
- Communicate and collaborate with internal users and support teams to fix issues.
- Participate in project activities.
- Document systems process, procedures, and architecture.
- Create technical design specification documents.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree required
- 2 + years of relevant work experience required
Specialized Skills
- SAP Basis training preferred
- Experience with 5+ SAP Core Suite and 3rd party applications portfolio required
- Experience with SAP HANA required and preferred with MS SQL Server
- Experience with SAP certified cloud provider preferred
- Full project life-cycle experience with at least two implementations or upgrades preferred
Additional Duties & Responsibilities
- Resolve incidents through effective troubleshooting methodology, Tier 1.
- Resolve incidents through effective troubleshooting methodology, Tier 2.
- Technical expertise on the operation, maintenance, and management of a small subset of the SAP and related 3rd party application portfolio.
- Lead small IT projects and project teams.
