Sap Abap Developer

VACCO is seeking for an SAP Developer to join the team that supports our ever-evolving SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. We are looking for self-motivated individuals who are passionate about designing robust, maintainable, and innovative solutions to software and user interface needs. Responsibilities include maintaining and enhancing existing applications, debugging production issues, and customizing delivered functionality.

Specific Job Responsibilities:

• Lead technical projects through effective communication with peers, internal customers, and management.
• Independently consult with internal Userbase and analyze current Business Applications, needs, and services.
• Analyze current business systems to determine most efficient, cost-effective solutions for VACCO in the specific context of SAP S/4HANA implementation.
• Coordinates the business requirements with the available service delivery model, define new requirements, and lead delivery of new capabilities.
• Lead and assist in all aspects of service implementation and delivery including design, configuration, development, deployment, and support.
• Keep pace with technical advancements within SAP S/4HANA related technologies and provide leadership in their application areas to meet VACCO business needs.
• Incorporate new technologies as appropriate.
• Lead efforts to define functional requirements; conduct detailed analysis of alternative solutions; design complex system enhancements and interfaces; develop prototype systems to refine design and requirements; document design and detailed specifications; develop data models and related data structures; plan for configuration control, testing, security, and quality assurance.
• Lead and assist in all aspects of software delivery model, Design, Development, Validation, Delivery, Maintenance.
• Serve as technical staff advisor for complex projects, tasks, or functions.
• Perform system test and validations; verify system expectations and requirements; ensure system operation; perform enhancements and improvements.
• Ensure that all appropriate procedures are developed and followed in a routine basis.
• Ensure that all appropriate operating procedures, contingency plans, and security policies are developed and followed on a routine basis.
• Ensure solutions are well-engineered, optimized, operable, and maintainable while also ensuring adherence to defined project management policies, change management guidelines, cyber security requirements and software quality assurance processes.
• Work with IT management to deliver solutions on schedule and within budget.

Job Requirements

• At least 3 or more years of experience with SAP S4/Hana, ABAP development web technology.
• Knowledge of the following programming languages is required: ABAP, JavaScript
• Knowledge of the following programming languages is desired: .Net, HTML5, and CSS3
• HANA and MS SQL or other relational database management systems with experience in SQL.
• SAP software development utilizing the ABAP programming language in object-oriented format.
• Knowledge in Fiori / UI5
• Automated unit and regression testing utilizing ABAP Unit and scripting tools.
• Systems analysis, design, and testing
• Software documentation
• Report and user interface design
• Knowledge of New software development and information technology trends
• Strong technical writing skills
• Demonstrated success leading in a team environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with ITIL processes and agile development.
• Knowledge and experience with the Agile methodology

Essential Functions:

• Develop (Reports, Interfaces, Conversion, Enhancement and Forms), Data Dictionary, SAP Dynpro, IDOCs, ALE, RFC, BADIs, BAPIs, etc, specifications and objects to complete custom development requirements.
