Purpose
Essential Job Functions
- Performs manual labor in day-to-day Sanitation Department operations.
- Serves as a spotter to assist truck operator in safely backing up and maneuvering in congested spaces.
- May assist truck operator with determining correct routes.
- Operates hydraulic lift and press.
- Maintains inventory of tools assigned to the truck.
- Collects household refuse.
- Directs traffic as needed.
- Collects recyclable materials.
- Collects litter; changes litter baskets.
- Collects yard waste, bulk items, and dead animals.
- Cleans vehicles and equipment at end of route.
- Assembles, delivers, repairs, cleans, and collects refuse carts as assigned.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
No prior experience required.
Requires the ability to lift items up to forty (40) pounds.
This is a critical workforce position.
Work Hours: Varies ; Work Location: 1809 W. Hwy 80
Additional Requirements
Background investigation, including supervised drug screen, post offer/pre-employment medical screen; and verification of education, certifications, and licenses required prior to employment.
