Starting at $17.50/hr. with $1.00/hr. night premium when working from 6:00 pm to 6:00 pm. A sign-on bonus of $500.00 after 90 days and $1,000.00 after one year of employment.

 

DFA Pollock has an immediate opening for Sanitation Worker.  No experience required; training provided. This position will work Monday – Thursday from 5pm -1am and Fridays from 2pm -10pm.  Saturdays and Sundays are off days.  Times may vary each day depending on production.   This position pay is $17.50/hour plus an additional $1.00 shift premium when working from 6pm to 6am.

The Sanitation Worker is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the production areas and equipment nightly.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Work with team to clean and sanitize the cheese production area including walls, floors, drains, pipes, equipment.
• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues.
• Dedicate effort to safety as we expect every employee to leave work in the same condition as they arrive.
• Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.
• Exhibit the values and ethics of Dairy Farmers of America through honesty, discretion, and sound judgment.
• Adhere to all DFA Quality, Safety and GMP policies and procedures and report any nonconformity. 
• Attend required training, including but not limited to, Safety, GMP, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Safe Quality Foods (SQF).

Requirements

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED is not required. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Basic computer knowledge
• Must be able to work with cleaning chemicals.
• Able to connect and disconnect pipes with clamps
• Able to work with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Must be dependable and reliable.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to walk, bend, and stand for the duration of the shift.
• Must be able to work in a wet humid environment.
• Most weekends and holidays off.
