Position Description
Position Summary:
Responsible for daily sanitation and custodial work of production areas, systems, and equipment, both inside and outside of the buildings, ensuring regulatory compliance is always adhered to. You are responsible for ensuring all food safety and quality protocols are followed.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Minimum qualifications:
The position requires a high school degree or equivalent. One to six months of experience in production environment is preferred. Previous sanitation experience preferred. Must have ability to become certified as a forklift and scissor lift operator.
Working conditions:
Work is performed in a production/warehouse environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts. The position is subject to shift work, extensive close work, heavy lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying, the use of and exposure to hazardous materials, high voltage, hot pipes, and constant standing. Noise level is typically moderate to loud. Overtime may be required.
Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. Position Description
Position Summary:
Responsible for daily sanitation and custodial work of production areas, systems, and equipment, both inside and outside of the buildings, ensuring regulatory compliance is always adhered to. You are responsible for ensuring all food safety and quality protocols are followed.
Essential Functions
- Maintains supplies in all restrooms on a daily-shift basis.
- Cleans all restrooms, lunchrooms, and dumpster areas on a daily-shift basis.
- Maintains and signs master cleaning boards in buildings.
- Maintains buildings, both internally and externally, to Pacific Foods standards as set forth in GMP, HACCP, and PMO protocol.
- Sanitation of production systems and equipment, includes disassembly.
- Spot training for employees regarding GMP's, Sanitation, and Food Safety.
- Report damaged or unsafe equipment or practice immediately to supervisor.
- Responsible for conducting work in a safe and responsible manner.
- Logs sanitation procedures performed on daily report. Follow safety and security procedures and reads labels for proper use and precautions of cleaning agents.
Secondary Functions
- Maintain forklift and scissor lift certification.
- Responsible for providing coverage in the absence of other Sanitation Technicians
- Other duties and projects as assigned by management.
Supervisory responsibilities:
This position is not supervisory in nature.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Ability to operate with moderate supervision, be detail oriented, and exercise independent judgment.
- Ability to comprehend and follow instructions.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem analysis skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide.
- Ability to push and pull up to 200 pounds and lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Ability to work at tall heights.
- Requires work in areas of high humidity and low temperatures.
- Continuous walking, climbing, stooping, handling, talking, reaching, hearing, and standing.
- Repetitive motions of the feet, hands/wrists, and bending.

- Alternative Work Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 3 or 4 days per week
- Front Half Days: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, every other Wednesday 6am-6:30pm
- Back Half Days: Every other Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday 6am-6:30pm
- Front Half Nights: Every other Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday 6pm-6:30am
- Back Half Nights: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, every other Saturday 6pm-6:30am
